Elbow, Wrist and Hand Pain
The hands are how you do almost everything. Pain here is disproportionately disruptive, and it responds well to precise treatment.
Also called:Tennis elbow, Golfer’s elbow, Carpal tunnel, De Quervain’s
What it feels like
- Pain gripping, lifting or turning a key
- Numbness or tingling in the fingers
- Weak grip or dropping things
- Pain at the outside or inside of the elbow
Elbow and wrist pain frequently begins further up, at the neck or shoulder. Treating only where it hurts often explains why it keeps returning.
How we treat it
Manual Therapy
Skilled hands-on treatment of joints and soft tissue to restore movement and reduce pain, delivered by a licensed physical therapist rather than a machine.
Therapeutic Exercise
A progressive, individually prescribed exercise programme that rebuilds strength, mobility and control so improvements hold after discharge.
Ergonomic Training
Practical assessment of how you sit, stand, lift and work, with changes you can actually sustain rather than a list of ideal postures.
Physical Therapy
A full evaluation, a diagnosis you can understand, and a treatment plan built for your body and your goals rather than a generic protocol.
Ultrasound
Therapeutic sound waves directed into deep tissue to increase local circulation and reduce pain in structures that hands cannot easily reach.
