Pre and Postnatal Pain
Pregnancy changes load, alignment and tissue tolerance quickly. Pain through and after it is common, and it is not something to simply endure.
Also called:Pregnancy back pain, Pelvic girdle pain, Postpartum recovery, Diastasis recti
What it feels like
- Low back or pelvic pain during pregnancy
- Pain rolling over in bed or getting out of a car
- Abdominal separation after birth
- Leaking or heaviness postpartum
Postnatal recovery deserves an actual rehabilitation plan. Six weeks and a discharge letter is not one.
How we treat it
Manual Therapy
Skilled hands-on treatment of joints and soft tissue to restore movement and reduce pain, delivered by a licensed physical therapist rather than a machine.
Therapeutic Exercise
A progressive, individually prescribed exercise programme that rebuilds strength, mobility and control so improvements hold after discharge.
Physical Therapy
A full evaluation, a diagnosis you can understand, and a treatment plan built for your body and your goals rather than a generic protocol.
